Outreach Volunteers

Like meeting people?!?! So do we!

Hep C Connection devotes a lot of time in the community to health fairs, outreach presentations, and special events. If you like to mix and mingle while also educating others on important health topics this is the place for you! The time commitment for this opportunity is flexible. We send out monthly information on up-coming events so that you can sign up according to your interest and availability. Events typically last 3-4 hours, with plenty of flexibility. All necessary education and outreach training is provided. What better way to expand your training and community connections at no cost!

The W’s to Volunteering with Hep C Connection

Who: Hep C Connection welcomes volunteers of all different backgrounds. We have volunteers whose lives have been affected by hepatitis, students who are expanding their health knowledge, and retired adults wanting to make a difference. Our main request is that you want to help the lives of others and empower individuals with health information and resources. ** You must be 18 years old. **

What: There are a range of volunteer opportunities at Hep C Connection. Two examples are on the other side of this page. If Hep C Connection is an agency you would like to volunteer with we are willing to work with you to create a volunteer opportunity that fits everyone’s needs and interests.

Where: The locations of our volunteer opportunities vary. Some opportunities occur in our office at 1325 S. Colorado Blvd.; however, many are off site health events. Directions, instructions, and assistance are always available.

When: Most volunteer opportunities are Monday- Friday between 8 and 6. There are occasional opportunities on the weekends.

Why: It is estimated 85,000 Coloradans are infected with hepatitis C. Unfortunately, many individuals do not know how the disease can be transmitted and are not aware they are infected. The first step to healthier living is knowledge. Being a volunteer and providing the essential knowledge and resources can make an impact that changes others lives as well as yours.

How: Becoming a volunteer with Hep C Connection is as easy as 1-2-3. Simply fill out our volunteer application online or on paper and submit it to Sascha Larsen-Helbing, our Volunteer Coordinator. She will then touch base with you to talk about your interests, availability, and possible opportunities. Once you two have found a good fit, you’ll be on your way to learning more about hepatitis C and impacting our community!

** You do not need to submit you SS# until you are sure you want to volunteer**
